Rules, web version
« on: February 15, 2009, 11:37:57 pm »
That's right, I've gotten permission from WFTDA to publish this on Zebra Huddle.
It's an html version of the 3.1 ruleset with links from the index to the sections they refer to (and links back to the top).
I did this with the intention that it could be viewed from a smartphone, so forget your iPhone app and just point your phone (or regular browser) to http://www.zebrahuddle.com/rules/rules12109.html

I intend to make this easily accessible very soon from a link next to the reply box on every thread, so you can have an easy reference to the rules whenever you are posting.

Update: This is now available in the left hand column on Zebra Huddle

This is SO helpful.  My crappy computer makes my browser shut down any time I try to open a PDF, so if I don't have a printed copy of the rules in front of me, I'm out of luck.

What a great idea and useful tool!

I've now got these rules linked from right above the Post/Preview buttons for easy reference. They will pop up in a thickbox window (not a standard popup) so you won't be directed away from the post/reply page while looking at the rules. To close out of that window, click on the close link at the top right of that window, hit the escape key, or click anywhere outside of that window.

It goes without saying that this feature will not work on the mobile version of this forum.

Found a tabulation error if it's necessary to fix it:

Major Penalties
6.2.8.7 False start-Jammer or Blocker who does not yield advantage. 6.2.8.8 Forcing jam to be called off due to too many skaters on the track before Jammer enters the pack.

6.2.8.8 needs to be dropped to the next line.

hey MW,

would it be possible to put a "4.0 Reference" link on the main page as well?  sometimes just reading posts, or in other forums, or just responding to email, I want an easy-clickable version of the rules, so I end up coming here and opening a "reply" box just to get to the 4.0 Reference.
