How to support Zebra Huddle
« on: December 31, 2010, 05:27:52 pm »
I just thanked a lot of you in this thread for your support in 2010. We will continue to need your donations in 2011. While I don't expect costs to be as high as they were in 2010, there are still a lot of costs to cover. I wanted to outline the ways that you can help to support Zebra Huddle

1) The best way is through donations. Use the yellow/orange "Make A Donation" button in the left column to send a donation using PayPal.

2) Order from the ZH Store. The store is located in the left hand column menu, though random products also appear in the right hand column. Zebra Huddle doesn't make a lot from these purchases, but every little bit helps. I will be working to make the store more useful in the coming year. I also hope to add inventory in the coming year (I just expanded the whistle lanyard inventory from just black to 11 colors!)

3) Use ZH Classifieds, located in the left hand column menu, with featured listings appearing in the right hand column. The use of ZH Classifieds is free, but there are a few paid upgrades to any listing. By more people using ZH Classifieds, it makes it more useful to others. Doing this not only makes it more likely that someone may upgrade their listing, but it also strengthens Zebra Huddle as the place for officials to go for all of their officiating needs.

4) Promote Zebra Huddle whenever you can. Tell people why you come here. If you own Zebra Huddle merchandise, show it off. Have I mentioned that the Zebra Huddle patches are really pretty?

5) This is something I'm trying out; a gadget drive. What is this? It's run by Gazelle.com, which is a service that you can send in your gadgets (cell phones, computers, cameras, mp3 players, etc.) in a prepaid box that Gazelle ships to you. When they receive the items, they check the condition and pay what they think it's worth (they are usually quite fair) to Zebra Huddle. You can look up your items and get an estimate on their website. In the case where they feel it's not worth what they estimated, they will get approval for their new value before paying Zebra Huddle. In the case of it not being worth anything to them, they will responsibly recycle your items.
Check it out at http://zh.gazelle.com. The current drive will run until March 31st. If it's successful, we'll keep running it.

Thank you all for your continued support of Zebra Huddle! Have a happy new year and be safe tonight!
Your friendly Zebra Huddle admin.

I forgot to mention that if you have purchased from the ZH Store, rate and review the products you purchased. That may help others to make a decision on whether or not they wish to purchase an item.

I do, but don't have it linked anywhere.

The 10 at the end indicates that it will pull the most recent 10 posts. You can change that to any number between 5 and 255.
