Scoring on OOP blockers
« on: June 22, 2011, 11:30:52 pm »
[rule]8.6.3 If the jam ends when the Jammer is still in the pack, the points for any passed opponents will be announced immediately.

8.6.3.1 The Jammer will also be awarded points for Blockers on the track and ahead ofthe Engagement Zone if said Blockers were not previously scored on during that scoring pass.[/rule]

8.6.3.1 is a subsection to 8.6.3 so if the jammer is behind blockers who become outside the EZ, but the jammer is in front of the pack by more than 10ft, does the Jammer still get those points if the jam is called off?

I'd probably award the points, but the wording of "still in the pack" is a little confusing. Does she have to be in the pack to get the points?

Eaqual in the heirarchy:

[rule]8.6.7At the end of the jam the Jammer will score on Blockers ahead of the Engagement Zone who were not previously scored upon during that scoring pass.[/rule]

No "in the pack" requirement.

Same conclusion in other threads here, with more discussion, though I haven't the time to search right now.
