We are in a lot of need for refs but right now we am having problems coming up with  recruitment ideas. What are some of the things your guys do to get new refs into the picture?

All flyers say we need refs, and we always say over the PA at bouts for NSOs, refs and new skaters. lots of word of mouth and skaters spouces are sometime refs. It is hard to get people to do the work to ref well but it is a blast to ref such a good fast passed game
to the death of fun

If you go to the Search part of ZH and type in Recruitment, you'll find several threads with advice.

Thanks, it just seems like we don't have a lot of interest in this area.

It's handy to train some of the Derby girls to ref in cas ethey ever (hopefully not) get injured. It's a good way if they're coming back from a long term injury to get some lighter skate time without the need of taking a hit. Hope that helps :)
