Bout Numbering
« on: January 30, 2012, 05:44:08 am »
I am the head NSO for a league in Okinawa Japan. We are in our second season and I am curious about how to number the bouts. We had 4 bouts last season so do I start this season at number 5 or restart at 1?

i am not the head NSO, but i am the Head ref, i do have a head NSO, (im very lucky), but we number the bouts FIRST AND FOREMOST by DATE, then we have six season bouts so its one through six and one championship bout (bout 7), then it will become one through six again, season 2, but dates are what we really go by for stats.

our system works for us, but i have know idea what other leagues do, but it woulds for now. its a good question
to the death of fun

as someone with no experience in numbering bouts, take my advice with a grain of salt.

i really like 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, 2.1 etc
so when you get to season 5 bout 7 it will be 5.7

just another way to do stuff
