^ This..

If it was a 'loose shorts/broken belt' slip.. ok.. fix it and move on. If it was an intentional drop of trousers, aim towards audience and go through 2 turns... Well I'd consider that excessive and send her to the locker room. FWIW, I have expelled a skater when there was only 35 seconds left in the game; so whether it has 2 minutes left or 58 minutes left is immaterial.

It's an expulsion. It's excessive and obscene.

It was pretty clearly intentional:

Our head referee called it Misconduct (major) due to "excessive obscenity toward the opposing team." There is nothing in the rules that says "excessive" AND "obscene" makes it a gross misconduct. Only obscene AND repeated. I'm inclined to agree with Mr. Ketterman - if an audience member is severely offended, it's a legal and production issue. The action was not illegal in this municipality. Then it falls on our team.

And I agree, I think creating an interleague issue over this would not be prudent, but it won't be completely up to me.

I stand behind my referee, but I have to admit, had he elevated it, I probably would have stood behind that too. Thank you all for the discussion and input.
I'm always happy when my skates are on.
