THNSO evals
« on: June 20, 2013, 09:22:26 pm »
Who can evaluate a THNSO if she is not working on a crew? I imagine the THR can evaluate her, but can the team captains?

How many evals can she get for a multi-day tournament with 30 bouts? Surely the THR can't give her 30 evals, but one eval doesn't seem fair either. One per day?

That would be a question that likely only NSO Cert could answer.

Speaking as a member of Certification: Please do not send in 30 evaluations that all essentially say the same thing. One evaluation is sufficient for a multi-day event/tournament, or 1 for each different position worked in the case of an offiical on a crew. The Certification Panels weight those appropriately. We expect longer commentary for evaluations that cover multiple games.

Side note: Don't worry about the eval count, simply submitting more evaluations for tournaments isn't helpful for the panels or that official. Submit detailed accounts of performance, whether or not the official improved after given feedback, and how significant that improvement was.

Evaluations from teams are always welcome for tournament head positions as well.
