lacing skates
« on: April 02, 2014, 09:46:48 pm »
Hi , I think sometime within the last month I saw either on zebra huddle or on one of the many derby facebook groups a drawing of how to lace skates to support any number of crazy foot needs.  I have done a general web search: and found a couple of suggestions, but they only seemed to address decorative lacings or how to lock down laces.  In particular I am looking for tips for relieving pressure, allowing for high or low arches, improving control on skating laps.... best suggestions for floor surfaces... or even just the type of skating that referees do!  Thanks a million.

I lost a couple toe nails before a skater pointed out to me the I didn't have to actually to lace the bottom set of eyelets.  I've skipped them ever since and have yet to lose another toenail.
