Hockey Ref Pads

Over the last few months, I picked up refereeing hockey games. As part of that, I had to get hockey pads (pictures attached).  Based on the rules, it appears I can wear these, but they'd normally go under long pants if I'm wearing them, and they look very different from derby pads.  My derby pads are pretty much worn out, but can I wear the hockey pads instead?  From the ruleset I don't see an issue, but I didn't know if there were any other issues with them.

WFTDA Rule/Clarification:
8.4.5 - Safety Gear: Referees are required to wear the following safety equipment with hard protective shells or inserts in addition to that which is required as a minimum by the liability insurer:

8.4.5.1 - Helmet

8.4.5.2 - Knee pads

8.4.5.3 - Wrist guards

8.4.5.4 - Elbow pads

Pics are of my knee/shin pads and elbow pads, which I'd wear with regular wrist guards and either my S-One helmet or hockey helmet (with face shield removed).

I know some things, but there's a lot more I don't know.

Yes, as knee and elbow pads, these meet the requirements.

I agree, I would say these pads are legal for Roller Derby.

Shinguards are legal, but waaaaaaay more spendy than regular knee pads. And you won't like how they react on ice, once you start grinding them on concrete.

The elbow pads are fine, and honestly, I've used elbow pads in game falls as a ref less than 2 dozen times since 2007. Glad to have them, low usage. Wearing them in warm months may cause more odor-retention problems.
You will bout as you practice.
