This helmet is not modified by the original manufacturer. I just want other peoples feels about safety. Personally I am not the manufacturer, and I'm sure any opinion from a non manufacturer is null and void to safety protocol.
Do you think this modification questions the integrity now?
What is the shield made of? Is it off a hockey helmet? Why didn't you just buy the hockey helmet?  :P
If you were HR would you allow it?

Tough question MC.  I would want to allow it, but at this time I don't think S1 makes a helmet with a face shield.  Any game other than a Sanctioned game I think I would.  I don't know what I would do for a Sanctioned game.

Just because you can do something doesn't mean it's a good idea to do it.

Would not allow. This violates the Rules.
WFTDA Rule/Clarification:
9.1.3.3 - Non-form-fitting full- and half-face shields must be designed for use on the brand and type of helmet with which they are paired.

That face shield is designed for use on hockey helmets. Notice it has a second mounting slot which they can't use on the modified S1, so they tried to brace it by using two bolts in the single slot.

This pairing is very likely to fail under game (scrimmage, derby) conditions, and will endanger the wearer, and possibly others around them.
You will bout as you practice.
