I just looked at the post amounts for the yahoo group.

The huddle has cut into that A LOT.

I find it easier to get answers in a timely, readable manner here than on the yahoo group, and I bet others feel the same way.
Hey look, a search function! Right up there! No on the left

Perhaps we should all spend a little more time reading and a little less time making shit up.

Web based bulletin boards > email lists. Especially Yahoo! ones, ugh. At least Google Groups is somewhat tolerable.

Agreed.  It was way too much of a headache to surf thru that board AND the mods here keeps flame wars to a minimum.  It's just handsdown more efficient.

Oh I know all the things you all say are true. I was just surprised that as of the month the board started it is obvious posts on there have dropped drastically.

I got myself a yahoo account only to join the group there. And especially the files I found there were very helpful to me in the beginning. But yahoo Mail sucks and this forum works so much better than the mailing list. I haven't been on yahoo for weeks. But I am here several times a day. Major did such a great job and I love the rules in the greybox feature!!!
But the great thing is.. because of the quick responses.. sometimes I even feel like I am hanging out with you guys :-)

... as someone who vaugly remembers Oktoberfest in Munichen and has a J.W. Augustiner stein that he "liberated" from said event within 2ft of him...  I concur.

Ha.

One of you drinkin' folk will have to throw some skittles into a stein of Schlenkerla Rauchbier Urbock for me. Just don't do it in front of me, because I might cry.
