Illegal Re-entry Vice Cutting

Do we treat same team blockers the same for illegal re-entry and cutting?

The casebook clearly allows for a skater to cut one team member without incurring a penalty.  There is no such reference for an illegal re-entry.  The rule book entry for illegal re-entry requires the skater to enter behind ALL blockers.

Looking through previous posts (referencing older rule sets) it appears that in the past we have treated them as separate cases due to cutting involving the skater having an established position but, in the case of the illegal re-entry, the skater does not have any established position yet.

By what I've read I believe that a skater re-entering from the penalty box would incur an Illegal Re-entry penalty if they enter in front of even one of their own team mates.

I'm hoping I'm reading/interpreting this correctly.

A skater returning from the box has to return behind all blockers. Just like a skater getting hit out has to return behind everyone who was in front. Anything else is illegal. A skater cutting one teammate is illegal, however it's not considered enough impact to warrant a penalty. Similarly returning from the box in front of one teammate is illegal but not enough impact for a penalty.

Yes.
