Zebra Huddle Store opening
« on: March 10, 2010, 09:53:59 pm »
The Zebra Huddle Store will be going live in a few minutes. I'm excited to be offering these products. I have a few important notes for everyone who may be ordering.

Shipping - The software for the store doesn't have great options for shipping. I had to use some workarounds for shipping costs. It changes shipping price based on your order total, not how much space the items will use up in a box. Because of this, the shipping price may need to be adjusted after you order. I tried to set it up so it is much more likely that you will get a bit of a refund than get charged more. Over time, I hope to get this dialed in to be as accurate as possible.

International orders - Another shipping problem in the software is that it doesn't allow for options in shipping. If you are ordering from outside the US, there are "products" in the international shipping category that you will need to add based on your order total. These will add the appropriate amount to correct the shipping cost. Note that there are options for packages shipping to Canada or Mexico, as well as packages shipping to any other country.

Whistles - The whistles are a pre-order. I will be placing the order for the whistles mid-April. If you order other things with whistles, I will ship the other item once I have your whistle. This is to keep shipping costs as low as I can.
Whistle orders will likely be done this way for some time, as I simply don't have the funds to order up a ton of stock.

Whistle blister packs - You have the option with the whistles to order them with the Fox 40 blister packaging, or in a bag. The blister packaging takes up a lot of room, which makes it more expensive to ship. If you are getting multiple whistles, I suggest getting them bagged, as it is likely to result in refunding some of the shipping price.

If you have any suggestions for products that you think Zebra Huddle should carry, let me know. Also, please let me know if you have any troubles with the store, so we can get them sorted out quickly.

Since the photos aren't the best, all the logos on the whistles are on a white background, not offwhite, in case you were wondering.
Hey look, a search function! Right up there! No on the left

Perhaps we should all spend a little more time reading and a little less time making shit up.

I'm planning on placing the order for whistles on April 15th. So to get in on this round, please go ahead and order whistles before the 15th.

After this order is placed, whistles will be pre-orders for early June.

Yes, I did get that. It was a pre-order. I'll be placing the order on the 15th for the whistles and will hopefully be shipping early next week.

I got a huddle patch from the store's mobile unit a few weeks ago. Pleased with the product, and the the delivery service can't be beat. It now has a place of honor on the left sleeve of my new stripes - but might have to come off (temporarily) for Spring Roll?

Shouldn't have to unless the THR doesn't like it

Would you guys consider carrying whistle lanyards?  I need a couple and NO stores in my town seem to carry them (I've tried sporting goods, hardware and the big box places) without also requiring you to buy a whistle!  And if you try to buy them online you have to buy them in bulk and the price doubles with shipping.  Just a thought.
